As a long time female I can say those new versions look a million times better.

Do take this quote out of context

Teehee.

Also everything that gets rid of ugly gaps in armours is a good change.

And its not like male-armour on female-char makes it look like the female-char lifts 2 tons with her littlefinger.

Honestly I dont really see a big difference in the before-after female version. On the other side, it's a huge difference on the male model.

There is no before and after female models, the "after" female model is just the male model.

Dunno, in my opinion, a female face on a male body looks sort of weird.

Well to me the body models are so androgynous that the body types do not look strange. Especially the blue gambeson being a fairly slim armour even on the male characters, any irregularities could be easily put down to padding the armour, whereas with the chain coif floating a few inches above the shoulders arguably looks much more strange that a bit of extra padding.

After looking at the spoiler you provided I might actually have changed my mind, I didn't realise how severe it was from the pictures Homer posted.

However it would be really weird if some armors hade female versions and others not, but the amount of people who actually plays as a female is so low anyways so I doubt anyone would notice. hnngh I'm so conflicted

You know what I mean. I still dont think there's a huge difference between the two versions, therefore discarding is worth it imo.

I think the changes are more effective for medium/heavy armours, I don't think it would be realistic to discard female versions for things like the linen tunic or robes as they are just very thin cloth and therefore it would be unrealistic to make the padding argument. Currently there are a number of armours that use male only versions and they are all medium/heavy (narfs brigandines, kuyaks, vaegir scale, ect) so the effect works nicely on those armours already.

Here is a comparison shot from the same angle of the male version, as you can see the legs, waist and midriff are basically identical to the female version with only the shoulders being more filled out to support the coif properly.

Personally I think it would be a nice something to give the woman buff shoulders so it will fit. Historically women were not really in the army (If at all - disguised) and if they were you generally would not find a very thin weak woman, in fact same argument for a male. Also if the woman was well built and strong she could wear the armour easier and better as it doesn't slow her down.

Also, wouldn't the rest of the build have to be slightly altered then? Instead of the current slim build you would have everything very slim and suddenly big a$$ shoulders?

No, the male and female characters will just both use the male mesh. For examples look at the light mail, kuyak, vaegir scale and brigandine armours (and a few more), they already use this system. This poll is to change these two armours to the same style so the helmets fit properly.

Can't the helmet mail guard be modified into a female version?

Wouldn't it be easier to make seperate female versions of the helmets(if possible).

It would be a perfect solution but there are two problems:
  • It seems like the engine doesn't support female versions of helmets.
  • All Narf's armors don't have female versions and the modified coifs wouldn't fit them.

For me: NO

What is the point? If someone want be female is for the body, or not? It makes no sense, also it is ugly... A girl with male body, ridiculous
