Only issue I see is the mail from the helmet is sort of "floating" more from the body on the female versions

Can't the helmet mail guard be modified into a female version?
Posted 09 January 2015 - 10:13
I like it....it also makes the female look bigger/stronger which is more realistic egegehhh

Wouldn't it be easier to make seperate female versions of the helmets(if possible).

I like things as they are now tbh.

I'm surprised at the number of no votes, what's the main reasoning behind not wanting the change? Of course everyone is allowed their own vote but I just wondered.
Those armours, as Homer said, are designed to be used with Narf's coif. And in the female version the coif has huge gaps between the shoulders which makes it look really terrible, a more obvious screenshot of the gaps can be seen here -
If they were fixed to have the male shoulders the coif would fit perfectly and it would mean there are more nice armours for female characters to use, maybe we could even have more people playing a female char if there are a bigger variety of cool armours for them.

I think it would look even uglier with a female in a male body than some gaps/clipping, however that's just my personal preference.
also, this:
Wouldn't it be easier to make seperate female versions of the helmets(if possible).
It wouldn't be hard to make alternate helmet versions, would take me or someone more experienced max 15minutes.
edit:I just realised how many helmets actually uses that coif, would make things a bit harder.
Still though, I stand by my first point.

Well to me the body models are so androgynous that the body types do not look strange. Especially the blue gambeson being a fairly slim armour even on the male characters, any irregularities could be easily put down to padding the armour, whereas with the chain coif floating a few inches above the shoulders arguably looks much more strange that a bit of extra padding.
