That is why I am confused when people always say 'Dawlish why do you wear that stupid coat still', being light on your feet is much more fun and makes the game more fast paced and fun in my opinion. I do have a suit of plate to wear but only as a break from the rawhide coat.

Well with your legendary footwork Dawlish armour is just for show, not a necessity :P

Why not go both? Heavy armour and shit ton of ath, you get the best of both worlds.

Cavalry is not OP, you just need a polearm to stagger the horse.

 

Imo, light infantry with mail armor, shield, good helmet, spear and 1h weapon is a nice combo :)

Obvious enough in theory, good luck doing that in-game. What, do you think it hasn't been tried yet? Fuck, even pikes are not enough unless there's 8 of them.

If you're good at it it's definitely pikeman with Long spear or something. Jump back and stab that kinda stuff you know. But if you can't play it well its probably a class with high shield and spammy scimitar :P

The most effective class is a light infantry with spear/sword/shield 18/18 with 6 athletics

18/18 Light stuff and awlpike is OP. If you are not against cav, you can easily beat the guy against you.
